Sleep Out for Syria – Raising awareness & funds for Syrian refugees

On Saturday night, 2 July 2016, we will be joining with churches across the country to ‘Sleep Out for Syria’ – sleeping outside churches to raise awareness of the millions of refugees who have fled their homes, and to stand in solidarity with Tearfund’s partner, the Lebanese Baptist Society, who are helping refugee families on the border of Lebanon.

It symbolises the church as a place of hope where people in need can turn to. Funds raised go to Tearfund’s Syrian Refugee Appeal, which in turn goes to the Lebanese Baptist Society to help them continue to help families in need.

#SleepOutForSyria is a one-night event to raise funds and awareness about the plight of Syrian refugees. We will be sleeping outside West Baptist Church on Saturday 2 July 2016.
